# Do i need to update or inform FWCMS once I have purchased the insurance?

## Do I Need to Update FWCMS After Purchasing Insurance?

No.  
**No manual update or notification to FWCMS is required** after you have successfully purchased **SPIKPA IG insurance using FWCMS ITR**.

Once the insurance purchase is completed, the entire process is handled **automatically** between the insurance company and the FWCMS system.

## What Happens After a Successful SPIKPA IG Insurance Purchase?

After your insurance purchase is successful, the following steps occur automatically:

1. The **insurance company sends confirmation directly to FWCMS**  
2. FWCMS will **automatically update the worker’s insurance status** from **“ITR Generated”** to **“Insurance Purchased”**  
3. The **EPLKS / Work Permit renewal process continues automatically** without any further action required from the employer or PIC  
4. You will receive:
* An **email from the insurance company** confirming the policy issuance  
* An **email from FWCMS** confirming that the insurance has been successfully updated

## Is the SPIKPA Slip Required for Permit Renewal?

No.  
When insurance is purchased using **FWCMS ITR**, the **SPIKPA slip is not required**.

All permit renewals are processed **automatically within FWCMS**, as the insurance status is updated electronically.
