What Is ITR?

ITR (Insurance Transaction Reference) is a unique reference number used to manage and track foreign worker insurance information within the Foreign Workers Centralized Management System (FWCMS) in Malaysia.


How to Enter the ITR Number During Insurance Purchase

Once you have obtained your ITR number from FWCMS:

  1. Enter the SPIKPA ITR and IG ITR numbers in the respective fields (refer to Figure 1 — highlighted in yellow).
  2. Ensure that you enter the Business Registration Number (SSM) that matches the one registered in FWCMS (refer to Figure 2).

Figure 2 – Copy and paste the ITR number, fill in the SSM registered in FWCMS on the eInsurans portal, and click Submit



What Happens After a Successful Purchase?

  • The eInsurans system will automatically send your insurance purchase confirmation to FWCMS.
  • FWCMS will then proceed with your PLKS / Work Permit renewal without any further action required from you.
  • You will receive two confirmation emails: one from the insurance company confirming your SPIKPA IG policy purchase, and another from FWCMS confirming successful insurance verification.
