This applies only to manual permit renewal scenarios that are permitted by the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM).
Important Notice
For renewals without ITR, employers must first seek confirmation or clearance from JIM.
Only certain cases are allowed to proceed with manual renewal at the immigration counter.
When Is ITR Not Required?
ITR is not required only when:
- The permit renewal is not processed through FWCMS, and
- JIM has advised that the case can proceed manually at the counter
