Important Notice on FWCMS & Foreign Worker Permit (Malaysia)

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Effective 1 February 2025, all foreign worker permit applications in Malaysia must be submitted via the FWCMS system (Foreign Worker Centralised Management System).

Employers may log in using their EPLKS@JIM ID.

To comply with Malaysia Immigration (JIM) requirements, employers must purchase SPIKPA IG insurance using a valid FWCMS ITR number.

What Is an FWCMS ITR Number?

An ITR (Insurance Transaction Reference) is a unique number generated from FWCMS that allows employers to purchase foreign worker insurance (SPIKPA IG).

Key points:

• The ITR can only be generated after registering the worker’s PLKS
• The ITR number is emailed automatically
• The email is sent only to the email address registered in FWCMS (PIC or employer)

Important:
If the registered email in FWCMS is incorrect, you may not receive the ITR email.

Step-by-Step Guide: Generate ITR from FWCMS (Malaysia)

Step 1: Click “Generate ITR No.” in FWCMS

Log in to FWCMS using your EPLKS@JIM ID.

During the Insurance Purchase step, click “Generate ITR No.”.

Step 2: Confirm by Clicking “I Understand”

Review the notice and click “I Understand” to proceed.

Step 3: Select “Offline Self Insurance Purchase”

Choose “Offline Purchase Insurance – Self insurance purchase”, then click “Proceed”.

⚠️ Important Selection Notice
- Selecting “Need assistance to purchase insurance” means you must wait for FWCMS to contact you
- To purchase directly via eInsurans, always select “Offline Self insurance purchase”

Step 4: Click “Proceed” to Continue

Confirm your selection and click “Proceed.”

Step 5: Receive Your ITR Number via Email

FWCMS will send an email containing your ITR number to the registered email address.

Purchase SPIKPA IG Insurance Using ITR (eInsurans Malaysia)

Step 6: Log In to eInsurans and Enter Required Details

Visit the official eInsurans portal:

Select your preferred insurer:

• Tokio Marine
• Lonpac
• Generali

Enter:

• ITR for IG
• ITR for SPIKPA
• SSM Number

Employer details will be auto-populated after submission.
Enter SSM and TIN number if required.

Step 7: Update Period of Cover & Immigration State

Employer and worker information will be auto-filled.

Update the insurance start date:

• Permit expiry date + 1 day

(Example: Permit expires 30/06/2025 → Start date: 01/07/2025)

• If the permit has already expired, select today’s date

For Immigration State, select the state based on your business address.

Step 8: Make Online Insurance Payment

Click Next → Payment to complete your purchase.

After successful payment:

• The policy can be downloaded immediately
• A copy will be emailed automatically

Note:
Clicking “Print Quotation” will clear entered data.
You will need to re-enter the ITR, SSM, period of cover, and immigration details.

After Purchase: FWCMS Status Update

Step 9: Wait for FWCMS Insurance Status Update

After purchasing SPIKPA IG via eInsurans:

• You will receive an email titled “Insurance Purchase Successful”
• FWCMS status will update to:
• “Insurance Purchased”, or
• “Pending JIM Approval”

⏱️ Processing Time:

Usually 10 minutes to a few hours.

If the status remains “ITR Generated” after 10 minutes, please WhatsApp us for assistance.

Once the status becomes “Insurance Purchased”, the permit renewal process continues automatically.
